How SinkShroom works
Catch debris at the opening, then lift it out for a simple clean-up. Here is how to fit and care for your model.
Bathroom: catch hair below the cap.
The mushroom-shaped catcher sits inside a compatible bathroom drain. Loose hair gathers around the perforated body as water passes through.
- Check that the drain is clear and compatible.
- Fit the appropriate adapter if your model includes one.
- Set the catcher in place and check the water flow.
- Lift it out regularly, wipe away hair and rinse.
Kitchen: keep scraps in the basket.
The stainless steel basket catches food particles around its raised center. Lift using the center grip, empty the scraps and rinse the openings.
Make emptying it part of washing up. A full basket needs clearing even when water still finds a path through. Use the separate stopper only when you want to hold water.

Check a bathroom catcher whenever you clean the basin and after activities that send loose hair toward the drain. Empty a kitchen basket after preparing food or washing dishes. If drainage slows, remove and clean the catcher before assuming the pipe is blocked.
Wipe collected hair and scraps into the trash. Rinse away residue and use a soft cloth for routine cleaning. Follow the care instructions supplied with your exact model, particularly for a coated finish. Avoid forcing or bending a metal part to make it fit.
A catcher prevents new debris from traveling farther.
It does not remove an existing clog in the pipe. If the sink remains slow with the catcher removed, investigate the drainage problem separately.
Using a stopper set
The hair catcher and open strainer are designed for draining. A separate stopper handles filling the basin. Check the package instructions for the correct arrangement and test the seal before leaving a filled sink unattended.
